This project began in 2007 with a desire to reclaim the sacred nature of life on earth. Beginning with a simple altar at home and then a shrine on 10th and Mission in San Francisco. I was trying to bring attention to the small bits of green that were growing up through the cracks and neglected urban places where, concrete, traffic, filth, trash, and human destitution compise the ecological environment.
Since then This is a Sacred Place has grown..
